An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Mikeldi in the 5th minute of play forced Ascencio FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Fero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ascencio FC's Prudencio Hegoi got a free kick in the 7th minute. Lucio Beat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paolo Laurentzi in the 9th minute. Sebastian Fero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Mikeldi's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. A collision led to Ascencio FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Placido Furman hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the game, Edgard Fonso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ascencio FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yatai AFC the free kick. Edgard Fonso hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Sebastian Fero came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Yatai AFC's Abelardo Casado. But to his dismay, Abelardo Casado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Benigno Mikeldi scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Fero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Abelardo Casado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Fero. Ascencio FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Casado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The supporters of Yatai AFC booed when Ascencio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Furman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Ascencio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Mikeldi came free, but Sebastian Fero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paolo Laurentzi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Lucio Beat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Paolo Laurentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lucio Beat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Casado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Fero having to interfere. Lucio Beat made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Paolo Laurentzi sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benigno Mikeldi to make the kick off. Lucio Beat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Laurentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Paolo Laurentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Fero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Mikeldi in the 58th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Alberto Maiorga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Paolo Laurentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Beat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Cheche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Beat having to interfere. Benigno Mikeldi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Yatai AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some careless play in the Ascencio FC defense, Abelardo Casado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Fero. The Ascencio FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Fero should have stopped the shot. Benigno Mikeldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, Godfredo Misael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yatai AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
