In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind los muchachos's goalkeeper Joel Lluterio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alvaro Mattin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Lluterio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of los muchachos booed when Loire Ocean FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Eron didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Eliseo Ciceron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. los muchachos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Ciceron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd match minute, los muchachos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Marz to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Sindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Marz in the 25th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvaro Mattin in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Lluterio saved los muchachos from getting behind. Loire Ocean FC's Norberto Sindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Marz in the 29th minute of play. When Jacobo Torres fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored los muchachos's protests and gave Jacobo Torres a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, los muchachos's Jacobo Torres got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Damario in the 32nd minute of play forced los muchachos's goalkeeper Joel Lluterio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alvaro Mattin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Mattin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Joel Lluterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dario Michael fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored los muchachos's protests and gave Dario Michael a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for los muchachos! Joel Lluterio had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Norman Brandie's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The los muchachos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Loire Ocean FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingo Damario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Nilmar Magalhães sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Sindo skillfully saved the ball. Loire Ocean FC's Alvaro Mattin got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, los muchachos's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Damario came free, but Joel Lluterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Baldomero Marz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Domingo Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loire Ocean FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Damario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Lluterio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvaro Mattin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Joel Lluterio made a huge save. Joel Lluterio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Damario in the 74th minute of the match. With 78 minutes on the clock, Claudio Cristos commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Loire Ocean FC! Eliseo Ciceron walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Domingo Damario was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Loire Ocean FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 87 minutes into the match, Baldomero Marz notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Loire Ocean FC's Norberto Sindo. Norberto Sindo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Marz in the 91st minute of play forced Loire Ocean FC's goalkeeper Norberto Sindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. los muchachos succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Loire Ocean FC had controlled the match.
