After a rather tough play, Empalme FC's Mateo Carlomagno got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Augusto Gabino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Maximino Gartzen made a huge save. Mateo Carlomagno was shown his second yellow card after 24 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 25th minute, Mateo Carlomagno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Igor Montxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Empalme FC's Maximino Gartzen got control of the ball when Generoso Vitin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Severino Enetz's late challenge caught a COMPLEJO DEPORTIVO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celedonio Ortzi hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Empalme FC's goalkeeper Maximino Gartzen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Gabino. Maximino Gartzen made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Federico Olando sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Montxo in the 45th minute of play forced Empalme FC's goalkeeper Maximino Gartzen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Igor Montxo scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximino Gartzen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Empalme FC's Cristo Jon got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes in the game, Cristo Jon fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joan Hartzbech having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Cristo Jon fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Maximino Gartzen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Montxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Empalme FC's Cristo Jon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joan Hartzbech. Joan Hartzbech yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Cristo Jon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Igor Montxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Gartzen having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Federico Olando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. COMPLEJO DEPORTIVO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Empalme FC the free kick. Joan Hartzbech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Fe in the 88th minute of the match. Maximino Gartzen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Montxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
