The referee ignored Palermo FC's protests and gave Hilario Araoz a yellow card for diving instead. Hilario Araoz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Artemio Palos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Ostargi in the 46th minute of the match. Baltasar Txartiko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Palos having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saturnino Jusepe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jesus Ostargi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artemio Palos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo FC's zone, Baltasar Txartiko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Palos came out of the goal and Baltasar Txartiko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bernardo Astigar came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Stampa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Astigar couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Palermo FC's Saturnino Jusepe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Efrain Admon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baltasar Txartiko might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artemio Palos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltasar Txartiko ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Pueblo kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Ostargi in the 65th minute of play forced Palermo FC's goalkeeper Artemio Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jesus Ostargi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artemio Palos was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo FC's zone, Baltasar Txartiko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Palos came out of the goal and Baltasar Txartiko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Stampa's Bernardo Astigar got a free kick in the 89th minute. Hilario Araoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Efrain Admon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Stampa had won after a very even match.
