Eustacio Chaime started the match with the kick off. Rachid Baba Ali í Lon Jacobsen hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Teo Calisto's late challenge caught a Carrilobo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teo Calisto helped the player get up and apologised. Teo Calisto kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Horquilla AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Calisto to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes of play, Carrilobo FC's Saturnino Mikelats made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Jerold was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the match, Mauricio Jaen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Lauaxeta. Carrilobo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauricio Jaen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Eustacio Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Jaen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saturnino Mikelats might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Jerold. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Mikelats ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Carrilobo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Kauldi came free, but Claudio Lauaxeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes Carrilobo FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Azevedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Erruki in the 62nd minute of play forced Carrilobo FC's goalkeeper Claudio Lauaxeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Modesto Polentzi could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Claudio Lauaxeta however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Carrilobo FC booed when Horquilla AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cristofor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match, Carmelo Kauldi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claudio Lauaxeta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 87 minutes, Everardo Montay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrilobo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Montay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Carrilobo FC's goalkeeper Claudio Lauaxeta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Erruki. With an all-out effort, Horquilla AFC's Claudio Lauaxeta threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mauricio Jaen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Horquilla AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
