Jacinto Ekaitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Cordarrel in the 18th minute. Dionisio Elivareo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jacinto Ekaitz made a huge save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elias Cordarrel to make the kick off. Dionisio Elivareo took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto Ekaitz. Jacinto Ekaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Quinten couldn't finish the play. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jaime Guillem hit a great ball. Eleuterio Quinten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Inocencio Cordeiro's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Anfama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Quexal to maneuver through the defense. Elvio Nuno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Oskarbi in the 87th minute of play. Jacinto Ekaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Quinten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
