If Cristo Gutxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Fidencio kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Los Xeneizes de Tandil were furious when Rodolfo Wünsche was red carded, 17 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 16th minute, one of Los Xeneizes de Tandil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Xeneizes de Tandil. Luiz de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Natal, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Freddy Barrionuevo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edelmiro Blanco. The goal made the score 1-1. Iker Egoi kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Italian Stallion Athletic's Aquilino Cebo got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Italian Stallion Athletic booed when Los Xeneizes de Tandil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Reynardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Elorri in the 42nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Los Xeneizes de Tandil defense, Iker Egoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz de Barros. The Los Xeneizes de Tandil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz de Barros should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Freddy Barrionuevo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Xeneizes de Tandil's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Barrionuevo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Blanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Pablo Reynardo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Los Xeneizes de Tandil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Reynardo couldn't finish the play. Omar Elorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Freddy Barrionuevo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edelmiro Blanco. Italian Stallion Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddy Barrionuevo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Isidro Orlin charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidro Orlin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Italian Stallion Athletic getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Isidro Orlin hit a great ball. The supporters of Los Xeneizes de Tandil booed when Italian Stallion Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Cebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Barrionuevo in the 84th minute of play forced Italian Stallion Athletic's goalkeeper Edelmiro Blanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Xeneizes de Tandil's Freddy Barrionuevo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90thth minute of the game Freddy Barrionuevo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italian Stallion Athletic's Edelmiro Blanco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz de Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Elorri went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Italian Stallion Athletic eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
