Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niclas Lea in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Frantzes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Rosario AFC defense, Mateo Canor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adan Lidon. The Rosario AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adan Lidon should have stopped the shot. When Santos Cortez came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Rosario AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Cortez couldn't finish the play. In the 15th match minute, Rosario AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Emeterio to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes Villa Nueva FC got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Patrido. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Lea in the 24th minute of play forced Villa Nueva FC's goalkeeper Mario Frantzes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villa Nueva FC's Mario Frantzes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niclas Lea in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Rosario AFC booed when Villa Nueva FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Patrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Niclas Lea, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mario Frantzes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Niclas Lea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Frantzes having to make a save. Rosario AFC's Adan Lidon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Mikelats in the 33rd minute of play. Adan Lidon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Confesor in the 34th minute. The supporters of Villa Nueva FC booed when Rosario AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Emeterio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Frantzes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niclas Lea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Patrido charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Patrido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valentin Patrido kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa Nueva FC's goalkeeper Mario Frantzes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Danilo Mikelats made a kick off. Gerardo Confesor took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adan Lidon. Adan Lidon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Mateo Canor kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Gerardo Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Ricardo Emeterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Desiderio Mirande sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rosario AFC's Adan Lidon didn't even have to move. Villa Nueva FC's Valentin Patrido got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Valentin Patrido off the ground. In the 70th minute, Valentin Patrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes Villa Nueva FC got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Canor. Gerardo Confesor hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Danilo Mikelats might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adan Lidon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danilo Mikelats ran back to his position shaking his head. Rosario AFC's Adan Lidon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Confesor in the 91st minute of play. If Gerardo Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rosario AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
