The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amigos Futbol Klub's Marcelino Atarratze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Odilon in the 6th minute of play. Evaristo Ferrer didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The audience was convinced that Zeledon Odilon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelino Atarratze was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. The supporters of Guanacache booed when Amigos Futbol Klub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Lizbeth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelino Atarratze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Servando in the 26th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Guanacache got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Tadzio. In the 30thth minute of the game Zeledon Odilon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amigos Futbol Klub's Marcelino Atarratze was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Niceto Totakoxe hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Zeledon Odilon sped through Amigos Futbol Klub's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelino Atarratze. Zeledon Odilon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Dimas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelino Atarratze. Amigos Futbol Klub's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Amigos Futbol Klub players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guanacache were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zeledon Odilon to make the kick off. Marcelino Atarratze made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Amigos Futbol Klub's Arsenio Amato got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Freddy Servando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Guanacache booed when Amigos Futbol Klub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Burni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddy Servando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Marcelino Atarratze when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Odilon in the 94th minute of play forced Amigos Futbol Klub's goalkeeper Marcelino Atarratze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Guanacache's Freddy Servando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelino Atarratze narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Amigos Futbol Klub supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Guanacache's performance. The match ended with a win for Guanacache.
