Denis Jeraldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Tomas Estevez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, river plate's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Elazar came free, but Tomas Estevez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. river plate's Tomas Estevez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Jeraldo in the 6th minute of play. When Adolfo Frascuelo fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hándicap F. C.'s protests and gave Adolfo Frascuelo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Alejo Afonso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hándicap F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 15th match minute, Hándicap F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Etxeberri to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Estevez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Frascuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Armandinho Ramalho took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eulalio Gauargi. Eulalio Gauargi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some careless play in the river plate defense, Jonas Elazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Estevez. The river plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Estevez should have stopped the shot. After 40 played minutes Hándicap F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Egun. In the 42nd minute Denis Jeraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Estevez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Adolfo Frascuelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hándicap F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Teobaldo Oriol hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armandinho Ramalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Denis Jeraldo struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tomas Estevez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hándicap F. C.. Nicolas Etxeberri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Tomas Estevez made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armandinho Ramalho in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eulalio Gauargi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Hándicap F. C.'s Denis Jeraldo got a free kick in the 65th minute. 71 minutes into the match, river plate's goalkeeper Tomas Estevez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Elazar. Eulalio Gauargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armandinho Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Tomas Estevez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Etxeberri in the 77th minute of play. With a little luck, river plate's Tomas Estevez got control of the ball when Jonas Elazar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute, Hándicap F. C.'s Denis Jeraldo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomas Estevez. Tomas Estevez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Denis Jeraldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eulalio Gauargi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armandinho Ramalho's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When Adolfo Frascuelo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. In the 97th match minute, Hándicap F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Frascuelo to maneuver through the defense.
