Icaño AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. Enzo Mattin kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Elpidio Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Salvador Odol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Enzo Mattin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benigno Marquez. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Ramiro Maju got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Icaño AFC's Enzo Mattin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benigno Marquez. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. Primitivo Manuelo scored 3-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benigno Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Niceto Xabat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. River Plate's Benigno Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. With his leg Benigno Marquez managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Icaño AFC's Enzo Mattin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Icaño AFC's Salvador Odol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Rico in the 36th minute of play. When Enzo Mattin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 37 minutes had been played. In the 38th minute, Enzo Mattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceferino Urdaspal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ceferino Urdaspal to make the kick off. Elpidio Rico struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Salvador Odol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. Gervasio Cortez's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gervasio Cortez helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Icaño AFC! In the 59th minute Ceferino Urdaspal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Odol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benigno Marquez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramiro Maju went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. River Plate made a substitution. Santo Crispo replaced Abel Intxixu. In the 72nd minute, Gervasio Cortez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Ceferino Urdaspal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Odol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Icaño AFC's zone, Ceferino Urdaspal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Odol came out of the goal and Ceferino Urdaspal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Primitivo Manuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Maju struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Benigno Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Icaño AFC. Icaño AFC's Salvador Odol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Urdaspal in the 96th minute of play. Ramiro Abastas hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Icaño AFC fully deserved thier win.
