An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Peio in the 37th minute of play forced Pinzón FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Niva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victoriano Tolino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Genaro Castro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If João Francisco de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Godfredo Montay to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes, Pinzón FC's Ernesto Sancho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Genaro Castro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pinzón FC reached it. Silvestre Oxarra's late challenge caught a Pinzón FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Oxarra helped the player get up and apologised. Silvestre Oxarra kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Amancio Gimenez kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Filiberto Ladio struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Genaro Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinzón FC.
