Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Godofredo Calisto got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Valentin Unax managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Unax was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacobo Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Calisto in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Godofredo Calisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnulfo Telesforo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Beila in the 12th minute. Angelino Leobardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Gutierrez having to make a save. After 19 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Edorta. Gualterio Ihintza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacobo Gutierrez. River Plate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 21st minute, Valentin Unax hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelino Leobardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jacobo Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Domingo Lucero came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingo Lucero couldn't finish the play. Niceto Beila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Arnulfo Telesforo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Marquesado's Baldomero Su got a free kick in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, River Plate's Valentin Unax sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnulfo Telesforo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Marquesado got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Chorache. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niceto Beila made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Valentin Unax managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Unax was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulfo Telesforo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Marquesado booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Edorta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Marquesado's Baldomero Su got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jeremias Chorache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marquesado's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Chorache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Gutierrez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnulfo Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Unax in the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Calisto in the 75th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Jacobo Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Modesto Edorta's late challenge caught a Marquesado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Modesto Edorta helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Modesto Edorta hit a great ball. Angelino Leobardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jacobo Gutierrez made a huge save. In the 85th minute, River Plate's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Angelino Leobardo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. River Plate's Jacobo Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Chorache in the 86th minute of play. Anselmo Dolfo hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelino Leobardo got free with Jacobo Gutierrez in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niceto Beila in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Telesforo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Niceto Beila took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnulfo Telesforo. Arnulfo Telesforo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.
