Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Godofredo Calisto started the match with the kick off. Baldomero Su received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Donato Hustaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Palomitas booed when Marquesado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Umea got free with Arnulfo Telesforo in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelino Leobardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th match minute, Marquesado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Su to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Marquesado's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Resto came free, but Arnulfo Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, one of Marquesado:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Marquesado. After a rather tough play, Palomitas's Guillermo Montrelle got a free kick in the 35th minute. Arnulfo Telesforo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Umea in the 43rd minute. Palomitas's Felix Resto got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Albino Canor hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marquesado's zone, Felix Resto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Telesforo came out of the goal and Felix Resto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Donato Hustaz managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Marquesado's Angelino Leobardo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Roque Ovando's late challenge caught a Palomitas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Ovando helped the player get up and apologised. Roque Ovando hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marquesado's zone, Felix Resto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Telesforo came out of the goal and Felix Resto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Palomitas's Donato Hustaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Calisto in the 68th minute of play. If Arnaldo Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Marquesado booed when Palomitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Gelmiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Umea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Arnulfo Telesforo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 90 minutes, Jeremias Chorache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marquesado and the Palomitas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marquesado's Jeremias Chorache got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 96th minute, Everardo Eron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palomitas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
