After 13 minutes Sayaco FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cornelio Leheren who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Santamarina's corner Cornelio Leheren fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Andres Caetano quite easily take care of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Santamarina's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasio Estebano came free, but Liviu Boeru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romelio Neira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. The supporters of Santamarina booed when Sayaco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Sayvion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Leheren, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 38 minutes of play, Santamarina's Romelio Neira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andres Caetano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfonso Artal kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Anastasio Estebano in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Liviu Boeru, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nicanor Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Andres Caetano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liviu Boeru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Leonides Truylos scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Liviu Boeru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Sayaco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Rocendo came free, but Andres Caetano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Domingo Inge came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Sayaco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingo Inge couldn't finish the play. Nicanor Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Caetano having to interfere. A collision led to Sayaco FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Domingo Inge hit a great ball. Romelio Neira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andres Caetano having to make a save. There was no doubt that Sayaco FC were the better team. Sayaco FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
