Atahona AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 12 played minutes C.A. CACHAFAS got a freekick which was hit by Hector Sugar. After a rather tough play, Atahona AFC's Ivan Maties got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Hector Sugar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudio Tab skillfully saved the ball. Fabricio Etxeberri's late challenge caught a C.A. CACHAFAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabricio Etxeberri helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Atahona AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Etxeberri to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes, Natalio Viviano made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Atahona AFC's Claudio Tab tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Manuel Normando took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Tab. Claudio Tab dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Claudio Tab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Viviano in the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Bruno Blai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Tab. Atahona AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Blai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When C.A. CACHAFAS's Manuel Normando in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atahona AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 40 minutes into the game, Felipe Laurin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atahona AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. CACHAFAS the free kick. Fabricio Etxeberri got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of C.A. CACHAFAS booed when Atahona AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Etxeberri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Normando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teobaldo Santikurtz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, C.A. CACHAFAS's Luis Laurendi got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute Teobaldo Santikurtz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Furman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atahona AFC! When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, C.A. CACHAFAS's Hector Sugar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Claudio Tab. 68 minutes into the match, Atahona AFC's goalkeeper Claudio Tab had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Normando. Claudio Tab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Viviano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes of play Atahona AFC's Felipe Laurin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 80th minute of the match Hector Sugar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudio Tab skillfully saved the ball. Bruno Blai kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Gonzalo Quintun kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Niceto Chago made a precise shot to the right of Claudio Tab. Atahona AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Gonzalo Quintun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Furman having to interfere. C.A. CACHAFAS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
