Ahmet Asım Uygar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ahmet Asım Uygar made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Joaquin Garaona sent off a good shot on target. Allard Zwaanswijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klement Klucznik in the 23rd minute of play forced Adolfo Gonzalez Chaves's goalkeeper Ahmet Asım Uygar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Cristobal Jacob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allard Zwaanswijk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Klement Klucznik was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Blas Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allard Zwaanswijk to make the kick off. Edelmiro Ferrando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Pero in the 51st minute. Pirámide FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Adolfo Gonzalez Chaves's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Klement Klucznik took the corner. After taking down the ball on Pirámide FC's corner Klement Klucznik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ahmet Asım Uygar quite easily take care of the ball. Enrique Mercurio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Edelmiro Ferrando made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Candido Satordi got free with Edelmiro Ferrando in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Allard Zwaanswijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. One of Pirámide FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Adolfo Gonzalez Chaves:s goal. Melquiades Vistruario shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 67 minutes into the match, Pirámide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Mercurio came free, but Edelmiro Ferrando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Gonzalez Chaves's Ahmet Asım Uygar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allard Zwaanswijk in the 69th minute of play. Candido Satordi took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edelmiro Ferrando. Edelmiro Ferrando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Clodoveo Tancredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Edelmiro Ferrando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edelmiro Ferrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Mercurio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Santiago Pero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Adolfo Gonzalez Chaves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirámide FC the free kick. The supporters of Pirámide FC booed when Adolfo Gonzalez Chaves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Pero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edelmiro Ferrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Mercurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Mercurio in the 88th minute of play forced Pirámide FC's goalkeeper Edelmiro Ferrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
