Salvador Baudelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Ascencio hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. El Nacional AFC's Salvador Baudelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serginho da Mata in the 19th minute of play. Salvador Baudelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho da Mata in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, El Nacional AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Ascencio to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Odon hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute, Arturo Abeitia made a precise shot to the right of Higinio Pancho. Curacó's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eloy Sadurni was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Curacó's Christopher Himmelreich seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Christopher Himmelreich the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Curacó protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Christopher Himmelreich had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Curacó:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Nacional AFC:s goal. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for El Nacional AFC. Isidoro Milian stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Higinio Pancho. 2-4. With a little luck, El Nacional AFC's Salvador Baudelio got control of the ball when Niceto Chale tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ramiro Odon kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Salvador Baudelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Etxepare, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With his leg Salvador Baudelio managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Curacó's Niceto Chale fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto Chale got free with Salvador Baudelio in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Rodolfo Etxepare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Curacó's Niceto Chale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salvador Baudelio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eloy Sadurni kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Eloy Sadurni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Nacional AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eloy Sadurni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niceto Chale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salvador Baudelio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Rodolfo Etxepare succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-5. Salvador Baudelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Etxepare in the 99th minute of play. With a little luck, El Nacional AFC's Salvador Baudelio got control of the ball when Niceto Chale tried to sneak it across the goal line.
