In the 5th minute, Depayse's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Justo Avellaneda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Depayse defense, Cristobal Bermudez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Endira. The Depayse fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Endira should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guido Elija during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Guido Elija hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Hondo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rodolfo Endira. Depayse's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Club Atl. River Plate's Isaias Larra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Endira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Depayse's zone, Emiliano Cordeal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Endira came out of the goal and Emiliano Cordeal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Justo Avellaneda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Rodolfo Endira made a huge save. Rodolfo Endira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristobal Bermudez's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Rodolfo Endira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rodrigo Hondo. A collision led to Depayse getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Martin Oliverio hit a great ball. Depayse's Rodolfo Endira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Cordeal in the 29th minute of play. Isaias Larra scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodolfo Endira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristobal Bermudez struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Rodolfo Endira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atl. River Plate. If Justo Avellaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Hodei during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 52 minutes, Martin Oliverio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Depayse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Oliverio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Federico Herensuge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Eustacio Urtsin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Depayse's Rodolfo Endira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Cordeal in the 58th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justo Avellaneda in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Endira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 60 played minutes Depayse got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Luix. A collision led to Club Atl. River Plate getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Isaias Larra hit a great ball. Club Atl. River Plate's Ernesto Monico was substituted for Cristobal Bermudez. Eustacio Urtsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Federico Herensuge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Eustacio Urtsin made a huge save. Club Atl. River Plate's Eustacio Urtsin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Club Atl. River Plate from getting a goal against them. Rodolfo Endira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Monico's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Rodolfo Endira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Monico in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Club Atl. River Plate's goalkeeper Eustacio Urtsin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Federico Herensuge. In the 90th match minute, Depayse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Oliverio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Larra in the 91st minute of play forced Depayse's goalkeeper Rodolfo Endira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Club Atl. River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Tristan came free, but Eustacio Urtsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atl. River Plate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
