Salazar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Francis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 13 minutes into the match, Corpus AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Firmin came free, but Atilano Abilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Corpus AFC's Gaston Lluterio got a free kick in the 15th minute. Salazar were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Corpus AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Patricio Maura took the corner. The corner led Salazar's Patricio Maura to fire away a dangerous shot which Atilano Abilio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Salazar's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Avellaneda came free, but Freddy Chinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salazar's Freddy Chinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Salazar from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the game, Ulises Avellaneda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Freddy Chinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gaston Lluterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Chinto having to interfere. If Domingos Firmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Chinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Ireno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Ireno in the 41st minute of play forced Salazar's goalkeeper Freddy Chinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Chinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Ireno in the 43rd minute of the match. Domingos Firmin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Atilano Abilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Lluterio took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddy Chinto. Freddy Chinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nestor Ireno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Domingos Firmin struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Atilano Abilio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salazar. Salazar's Freddy Chinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Ireno in the 62nd minute of play. Nestor Ireno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Freddy Chinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute of the match Evaristo Francis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddy Chinto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Corpus AFC's Atilano Abilio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Corpus AFC from getting a goal against them. Freddy Chinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Ireno, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute.
