Eleuterio Tadzio lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Independiente Fútbol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ballester F.C.:s goal. When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, Ballester F.C.'s Dionisio Innocenzio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gervasio Gorosti. Independiente Fútbol Club's Ruperto Niva got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Marcones in the 16th minute of play forced Independiente Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Gervasio Gorosti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Gogo Dalmau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballester F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente Fútbol Club the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Ballester F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Dalmau to maneuver through the defense. Filip Lövkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Jerano in the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Ballester F.C. getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Afonsinho Nóbrega hit a great ball. Independiente Fútbol Club's Gervasio Gorosti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Independiente Fútbol Club from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ballester F.C. booed when Independiente Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Jerano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dionisio Innocenzio got free with Gervasio Gorosti in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Ballester F.C.'s zone, Ermegildo Jerano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip Lövkvist came out of the goal and Ermegildo Jerano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballester F.C.'s Severo Marcones slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gervasio Gorosti. That made the score 3-0 after 35 minutes of play. 43 minutes into the match, Independiente Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Artizar came free, but Gervasio Gorosti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Independiente Fútbol Club's Gervasio Gorosti got control of the ball when Mariano Iigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Independiente Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Quesada to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Amancio Artizar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballester F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Artizar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Gorosti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Independiente Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Juan Pablo Sorin hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Dionisio Innocenzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 4-0 became the score in the 56th minute when Severo Marcones elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 70th minute Severo Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Gorosti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ermegildo Jerano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute, Dionisio Innocenzio made a precise shot to the right of Gervasio Gorosti. Independiente Fútbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Dionisio Innocenzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gervasio Gorosti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervasio Gorosti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Innocenzio in the 80th minute of play. Gervasio Gorosti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Artizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 91stth minute of the game Severo Marcones who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente Fútbol Club's Gervasio Gorosti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ballester F.C.'s Severo Marcones got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Iigo took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervasio Gorosti. Gervasio Gorosti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0.
