Boca Juniors FC's Feliciano Chorache proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Trolla in the 8th minute of play forced Euscadi AFC's goalkeeper Cesar Otsando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Peyo scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Feliciano Chorache, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 18 minutes of play, Boca Juniors FC's Ramón Medina Bello made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesar Otsando was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Astor Toribio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24th minute, Albert Hedling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. With 27 minutes on the clock, Manuel Columbo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Cesar Otsando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Sal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesar Otsando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Medina Bello in the 30th minute of the match. Primitivo Sal shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 34 minutes into the game, Diego Gilesindo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Euscadi AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Euscadi AFC's Diego Gilesindo got a free kick in the 34th minute. Euscadi AFC's Cesar Otsando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Toribio in the 35th minute of play. Cesar Otsando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Medina Bello, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Cesar Otsando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Hedling in the 38th minute of play. Ramón Medina Bello might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesar Otsando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramón Medina Bello ran back to his position shaking his head. After 42 played minutes Euscadi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Matthew. Astor Toribio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Otsando having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Astor Toribio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Albert Hedling cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Cesar Otsando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Astor Toribio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesar Otsando was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Constantino Txema charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantino Txema the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Gilesindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 68th minute Astor Toribio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Otsando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Diego Gilesindo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Euscadi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Gilesindo couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Astor Toribio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 76 minutes into the game, Astor Toribio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Cesar Otsando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cesar Otsando made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Tom Trolla sent off a good shot on target. Euscadi AFC's Cesar Otsando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Euscadi AFC from getting a goal against them. Tom Trolla scored 1-6 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesar Otsando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Astor Toribio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesar Otsando. That made the score 1-7 in the 94 minute of play. The Boca Juniors FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Boca Juniors FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
