Alfredo Pierres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jorge Newbery Futbol Club! Cesar Guerrero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teddy Golding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 minutes of play, Esquina AFC's Felix Araoz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesar Guerrero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teddy Golding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Guerrero having to interfere. Marciano Bortzaioriz hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Esquina AFC's Teddy Golding sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesar Guerrero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th match minute, Jorge Newbery Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Bortzaioriz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Esquina AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Fortunato Franceschi hit a great ball. The Jorge Newbery Futbol Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Esquina AFC were winning 0-2.
52 minutes into the match, Clemente Lixandro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cesar Guerrero, 0-3. Felix Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Teddy Golding came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Esquina AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teddy Golding couldn't finish the play. Felix Araoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Teddy Golding came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Esquina AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teddy Golding couldn't finish the play. Cesar Guerrero made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Teddy Golding sent off a good shot on target. Teddy Golding who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Cesar Guerrero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jorge Newbery Futbol Club's Cesar Guerrero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Jorge Newbery Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Esquina AFC booed when Jorge Newbery Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Dino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 played minutes Jorge Newbery Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Pierres. After 80th play minutes Felix Araoz shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Cesar Guerrero and just under the crossbar into goal. If Teddy Golding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Pierres kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Cesar Guerrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Araoz in the 96th minute of play. Esquina AFC played a much better game than Jorge Newbery Futbol Club and deserved their victory. The Jorge Newbery Futbol Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
