Gino Branco had several of the Amamá's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 11 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Tiburcio Virila as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jesus Fernandez's late challenge caught a Amamá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Atarratze prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Basilio Jaunti charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basilio Jaunti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Atarratze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Ekaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Deportivo Riestra's Rafael Atarratze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Marquez in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The Amamá players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
