Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Teofilo Celipe started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Cayetano Galtero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 5 played minutes Guzmán got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Goi. In the 9th minute, Riachuelo's Isaias Cordarrell seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Isaias Cordarrell the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Riachuelo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Isaias Cordarrell had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 9 minutes into the game, one of Riachuelo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Augusto Handi made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Raimundo Blasi sent off a good shot on target. After 18 played minutes Guzmán got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Eskuin. Felix Maties kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Cayetano Galtero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Riachuelo's Hernan Mero. Hernan Mero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hernan Mero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teofilo Celipe went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Riachuelo booed when Guzmán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Celipe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimundo Blasi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Blasi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Augusto Handi made a huge save. Riachuelo were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Guzmán's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Prospero Qwinton took the corner. Teofilo Celipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Blasi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Augusto Handi made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimundo Blasi was the one to do the kick off. Hernan Mero came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Guzmán's Cayetano Galtero. But to his dismay, Cayetano Galtero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Geronimo Urdin charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geronimo Urdin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Riachuelo getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Geronimo Urdin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Guzmán's zone, Raimundo Blasi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Handi came out of the goal and Raimundo Blasi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Handi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Blasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Cayetano Galtero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hernan Mero. Riachuelo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cayetano Galtero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Guzmán's zone, Raimundo Blasi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Handi came out of the goal and Raimundo Blasi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prospero Goi's late challenge caught a Riachuelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prospero Goi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Prospero Goi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guzmán were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Riachuelo's much stronger midfield.
