Gómez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Erramu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucio Benino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Dacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gómez FC's Saturnino Leheren got a free kick in the 8th minute. Julio Dacio scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cecilio Tipi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Dacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Tipi having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Saavedra Sporting Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Asier to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Lucio Benino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lisandro Maore was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Ulises Erramu might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lisandro Maore. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulises Erramu ran back to his position shaking his head. Ulises Erramu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saavedra Sporting Club's Lisandro Maore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Saavedra Sporting Club from getting a goal against them. Gómez FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos Osmundo in the 45th minute. The corner led Gómez FC's Carlos Osmundo to fire away a dangerous shot which Lisandro Maore despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Gómez FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saavedra Sporting Club were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucio Benino made a kick off. Clodoveo Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clodoveo Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute, one of Saavedra Sporting Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saavedra Sporting Club. The referee gave Gómez FC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlos Osmundo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Saavedra Sporting Club's Lisandro Maore. 1-1. Saturnino Leheren kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Julio Dacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Tipi having to interfere. Gómez FC's Cecilio Tipi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Gómez FC from getting a goal against them. Lisandro Maore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Benino in the 72nd minute of play. Mauro Socorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Julio Dacio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cecilio Tipi, 1-2. Julio Dacio struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Cecilio Tipi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saavedra Sporting Club. After 82 played minutes Gómez FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Orlan. If Julio Dacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Saavedra Sporting Club getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Julio Dacio hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Lucio Benino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gómez FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
