Eusébio Jesus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Albino Dimo made a huge save. Ivan Crescencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Göran Häll. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Crescencio ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Nayely kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Cristian Nayely's late challenge caught a BOCA JUNIORS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Nayely helped the player get up and apologised. Cristian Nayely hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. During the 80th minute of the match Cristian Nayely completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cristian Nayely a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 80th match minute, cachi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Nayely to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in BOCA JUNIORS's zone, Americo Montez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albino Dimo came out of the goal and Americo Montez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. cachi's Göran Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Kepa in the 96th minute of play. The cachi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing cachi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
