To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Wolker defense, Tim Evans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiburcio Abancens. The Wolker fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Abancens should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Liverpool were the better team. Liverpool's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
