After a defensive mix-up in Piquete's zone, Marcos Aurre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blas Hermosilla came out of the goal and Marcos Aurre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cipolleti booed when Piquete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Llanos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Piquete failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
