The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Macedo FC's Gaston Foro got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Elvio Haritz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ramon Azubelis short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Juan Astudillo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 26th minute of the match Macedo FC got a corner. San Justo Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Godfredo Gilabert ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 28th match minute, San Justo Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Erauso to maneuver through the defense. San Justo Futbol Club's Juan Astudillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save San Justo Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Bernabe Erauso's late challenge caught a Macedo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernabe Erauso helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes San Justo Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Erauso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Ihazintu in the 76th minute of play forced San Justo Futbol Club's goalkeeper Juan Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Macedo FC's Elvio Haritz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
