An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Carlomagno in the 11th minute of play forced Arroyito AFC's goalkeeper Astor Gimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fui a la Pelota's Cornelio Tulio got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucio Mosen during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Fui a la Pelota booed when Arroyito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Mosen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes, Fui a la Pelota's Ramon Serapio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Astor Gimenez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fui a la Pelota reached it. 18 minutes into the game, Leonel Valentine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Benicio Hondo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arroyito AFC's Leonel Valentine got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eliseo Carlomagno fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fui a la Pelota's protests and gave Eliseo Carlomagno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Eliseo Carlomagno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arroyito AFC's Leonel Valentine got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Albino Eufrasio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benicio Hondo, 2-0. Leonel Valentine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Hondo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Albino Eufrasio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arroyito AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Eufrasio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Hondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Cornelio Tulio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 53 minutes, Gaspar Ebardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arroyito AFC and the Fui a la Pelota players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaspar Ebardo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Fui a la Pelota's Ramon Serapio got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Fui a la Pelota getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Horacio Acosta hit a great ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Leonel Valentine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arroyito AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Valentine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benicio Hondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Eufrasio in the 65th minute of the match. Albino Eufrasio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benicio Hondo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Augusto Claus kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Benicio Hondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Eufrasio in the 72nd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Salvador Cuartio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 74 minutes, Albino Eufrasio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arroyito AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Eufrasio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Leonel Valentine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 78 minutes into the match, Arroyito AFC's Albino Eufrasio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benicio Hondo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arroyito AFC's Albino Eufrasio got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Leonel Valentine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Hondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Hondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Eufrasio, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
