After a defensive mix-up in Quiroga's zone, Lorenzo Leizarraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Bieito came out of the goal and Lorenzo Leizarraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Alejandro Loramendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Gerardo Bieito successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 21 played minutes Quiroga got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Donzel. 24 minutes into the game, Quiroga's Ivan Martxel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elias Pello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 27th minute Ivan Martxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Pello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to La Banda F.C. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Dionisio Aguirre hit a great ball. La Banda F.C.'s Elias Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Martxel in the 33rd minute of play. Elias Pello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Martxel's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Elias Pello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Martxel in the 39th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Martxel in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Pello saved La Banda F.C. from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Gerardo Bieito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Leizarraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quiroga's Ivan Martxel got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elias Pello made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Ivan Martxel sent off a good shot on target. Gerardo Bieito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Damario in the 67th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Quiroga's Elias Pello threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ivan Martxel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. La Banda F.C. made a substitution. Silvano Galo replaced Angel Egun. La Banda F.C.'s Maximino Isidor was substituted for Severo Damario. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Donzel during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Maximino Isidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Banda F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Isidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerardo Bieito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
