In the 10th minute Justo Nicholas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Naelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Isaac Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Montecarlo AFC's Eustaquio Guib got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 27 minutes of play, Montecarlo AFC's Justo Nicholas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Epifanio Naelio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Prudencio Bernabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Jacindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Epifanio Naelio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justo Nicholas's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. If Benigno Llope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prudencio Bernabel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Jacindo in the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Isaac Jacindo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 46 played minutes, Montecarlo AFC's Genaro Uxio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Epifanio Naelio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montecarlo AFC reached it. Mogote FC's Epifanio Naelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Nicholas in the 47th minute of play. The Mogote FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montecarlo AFC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaac Jacindo to make the kick off. When Rodrigo Deunoro fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
