The supporters of Cravens booed when Igarzábal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Betadur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cravens's Dante Hunfredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Salvatore in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Gogo Tajo made a precise shot to the right of Dante Hunfredo. Cravens's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Dante Hunfredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Salvatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Gogo Tajo put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Hunfredo. Dante Hunfredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Tximitx in the 41st minute of play. If Venancio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Venancio Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Haroldo Eyague got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Abelardo Chorche's late challenge caught a Cravens's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo Chorche helped the player get up and apologised. Dante Hunfredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Eyague in the 70th minute of the match.
