After 10 played minutes Club Atletico Rodago got a freekick which was hit by Juan Incendio. The audience was convinced that Pascual Valery's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pierre Arbieto was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The shot was stopped by Pierre Arbieto but with some difficulty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After a defensive mix-up in independiente's zone, Nils Hurtig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Oinaz came out of the goal and Nils Hurtig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atletico Rodago played a much better game than independiente and deserved their victory. The independiente players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
