Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Merceditas's Augusto Cresitobalo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Cajas got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Heriberto. Lino Tello kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Damaso Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Celio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Tello hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Augusto Cresitobalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Emeterio having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Ramiro Cordarell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merceditas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cajas the free kick. In the 19th minute, Ramiro Cordarell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Damaso Arias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eustacio Ekialde was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Everardo Daunte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eustacio Ekialde. Merceditas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Everardo Daunte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 27th minute, Hugo Astrada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merceditas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 31 played minutes Merceditas got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Astrada. Anacleto Beltran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Ekialde having to interfere. Arnulfo Emeterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Castulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melquiades Heriberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Ekialde having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Everardo Daunte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Cajas's Everardo Daunte in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merceditas's goalie prevented a goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Everardo Daunte to strike the kick off in the second half. Merceditas's Eustacio Ekialde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Merceditas from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes into the game, Hugo Astrada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merceditas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cajas the free kick. Hugo Astrada hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Damaso Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cajas's Arnulfo Emeterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Marino in the 65th minute of play. When Anacleto Beltran came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Cajas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Beltran couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Merceditas's Eustacio Ekialde got control of the ball when Damaso Arias tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Cajas fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Cajas's Everardo Daunte looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 75 minutes into the match, Cajas's Everardo Daunte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eustacio Ekialde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnulfo Emeterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Marino, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Arnulfo Emeterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Castulo in the 81st minute of play. Eustacio Ekialde was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damaso Arias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 83 minute of play. A hard shot 87 in the game by Everardo Daunte from a close distance when the talented Eustacio Ekialde managed to make a qualified save. Merceditas's players were relieved. Eustacio Ekialde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Beltran in the 88th minute of play. Flavio Emenon hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Everardo Daunte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Ekialde having to interfere. If Everardo Daunte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merceditas's Eustacio Ekialde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Merceditas from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Cajas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Merceditas.
