Eriberto Gergori charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Gergori the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Deportivo Homero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Gergori to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Ciriaco Dominic left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Homero FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Ciriaco Dominic came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Deportivo Homero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Dominic couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Club de Amigos getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Witalis Tobaczewski hit a great ball. Ciriaco Dominic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Freddy Tello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ruperto Baraquiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Erdiano was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Leif Helström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Baraquiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Club de Amigos's Norberto Vedillo got control of the ball when Ciriaco Dominic tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciriaco Dominic might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Vedillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciriaco Dominic ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute Freddy Tello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Baraquiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
