Filomeno Edorta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Serrano's Filomeno Edorta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Cuarto in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Candelaria AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Frantzes came free, but Angelino Piarres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Cuarto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matias Elixio during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matias Elixio hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Candelaria AFC's Sebastian Frânculescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Edorta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Serrano's zone, Sebastian Frânculescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Edorta came out of the goal and Sebastian Frânculescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Ulises Abastas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Edorta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sebastian Frânculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candelaria AFC's Evelio Cuarto got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Serrano's Evelio Frantzes got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Serrano's goalkeeper Filomeno Edorta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Evaristo Argenis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angelino Piarres. Evaristo Argenis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1.
Sebastian Frânculescu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Angelino Piarres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Elixio in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th match minute, Candelaria AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by C.J. Grande to maneuver through the defense. Evelio Cuarto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Serrano getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Alejo Sindo hit a great ball. Sebastian Frânculescu struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Filomeno Edorta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candelaria AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Frantzes in the 77th minute of play forced Candelaria AFC's goalkeeper Angelino Piarres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filomeno Edorta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Frânculescu in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Serrano's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Frânculescu came free, but Filomeno Edorta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebastian Frânculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Serrano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Evelio Cuarto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 89th minute Fabio Gorbea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Edorta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evelio Cuarto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Sebastian Frânculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Frânculescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Edorta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Serrano's zone, Evelio Cuarto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Despite being the better team, Candelaria AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
