The crowd rose to their feet as Norberto Tomi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rourke McDonald. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Guanacache FC's Rourke McDonald proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Guanacache FC from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Silverio Abadie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago DC's Tomas Jakobe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rourke McDonald narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Tomas Jakobe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rourke McDonald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Tano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Tomi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 36th playminute. In the 40th minute Tord Bure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gogo Tano to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes Guanacache FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Pacifico. Nueva Chicago DC's Marcelo Belasko got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute of the match Nueva Chicago DC got a corner. Guanacache FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcelo Belasko ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcelo Belasko made a great header on Nueva Chicago DC's corner, it was just that Guanacache FC's Rourke McDonald managed to reach the ball for a save. 69 minutes into the match, Guanacache FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Tano came free, but Rourke McDonald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubaldo Perfecto struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Rourke McDonald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nueva Chicago DC. Candido Ekialde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Paskal, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Nueva Chicago DC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Tord Bure scored to the left of an out of position Candido Ekialde, making the score, 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Norberto Tomi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nueva Chicago DC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Tomi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rourke McDonald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Gogo Tano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rourke McDonald was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Rourke McDonald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Tano in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guanacache FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcelo Belasko was slow to take the kick. During this time Nueva Chicago DC's players had a chance to rest.
