Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sarmiento AFC's Isaias Mede started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind boca juniors's goalkeeper Rodolfo Hug, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Justo Quilino charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justo Quilino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Justo Quilino kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Sarmiento AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Garaile came free, but Oscar Blai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, boca juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Clodio came free, but Rodolfo Hug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uriel Clodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. boca juniors's Rodolfo Hug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Mede in the 18th minute of play. Isaias Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Hug having to interfere. A collision led to boca juniors getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Gerardo Cedro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, boca juniors's Nereo Theodore got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes, Sarmiento AFC's Justo Quilino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodolfo Hug came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sarmiento AFC reached it. In the 26th match minute, Sarmiento AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Clodio to maneuver through the defense. boca juniors's Osvaldo Remigio got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isaias Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Hug having to interfere. Uriel Clodio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pascual Errando hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Sarmiento AFC's goalkeeper Oscar Blai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Remigio. Justo Quilino hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Cosme Garaile recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

52 minutes into the match, boca juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Errando came free, but Rodolfo Hug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 played minutes boca juniors got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Norino. Isaias Mede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Blai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Ederono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, boca juniors's goalkeeper Rodolfo Hug had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uriel Clodio. In the 79th match minute, boca juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Norino to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Isaias Mede dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodolfo Hug, 0-2. Osvaldo Remigio struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Oscar Blai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for boca juniors. Eduardo Norino scored 1-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Blai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Sarmiento AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sarmiento AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
