Victoriano Lertxun scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Abad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th minute, Benedicto Tancredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victoriano Lertxun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute, Silvestre Froylan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benedicto Tancredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Egoi having to interfere. When Benedicto Tancredo fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botija's protests and gave Benedicto Tancredo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Botija getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Benedicto Tancredo hit a great ball. Benedicto Tancredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Dante Egoi made a huge save. Cesar Tiso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Abad having to interfere. Botija's Benedicto Tancredo got his second yellow card of the match in the 31st minute. The referee ordered Benedicto Tancredo off the ground. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Victoriano Lertxun put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Basilio Abad. After some careless play in the Botija defense, Cesar Tiso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basilio Abad. The Botija fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basilio Abad should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute Victoriano Lertxun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Lertxun in the 48th minute of play forced Botija's goalkeeper Basilio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

A hard shot 52 in the game by Cesar Tiso from a close distance when the talented Basilio Abad managed to make a qualified save. Botija's players were relieved. After 55 minutes of play, Cardozo's Cesar Tiso made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Abad was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Urbano Barto came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Botija fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Barto couldn't finish the play. Basilio Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Lertxun, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Cesar Tiso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Basilio Abad skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leopoldo Tauro kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Cesar Tiso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Basilio Abad managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Cardozo's Cesar Tiso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cesar Tiso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesar Tiso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basilio Abad having to make a save. Cardozo's Cesar Tiso got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Cardozo's Victoriano Lertxun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basilio Abad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Botija fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, Cardozo's Epifanio Chesus got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Basilio Abad. Cardozo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
