The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Iratzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 7th minute Albertinho Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Iratzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GIMNASIA LP's Benedicto Gomesano got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The GIMNASIA LP fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when GIMNASIA LP's Albertinho Melo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 13 minutes into the game, Albertinho Melo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jonathan Iratzeder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute Marcos Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Iratzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in El Peluquero's zone, Albertinho Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Iratzeder came out of the goal and Albertinho Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th match minute, GIMNASIA LP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Bizi to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Albertinho Melo put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Iratzeder. After 32 played minutes GIMNASIA LP got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Opilano. The audience was convinced that Ambrosio Abilio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 尹战朗 was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. El Peluquero's Jonathan Iratzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Melo in the 36th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Albertinho Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Iratzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedicto Gomesano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half GIMNASIA LP were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ambrosio Abilio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benedicto Gomesano struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jonathan Iratzeder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GIMNASIA LP. With a little luck, El Peluquero's Jonathan Iratzeder got control of the ball when Placido Cordario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ambrosio Abilio kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Benedicto Gomesano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jonathan Iratzeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Iratzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Gomesano in the 93rd minute of play. The El Peluquero fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GIMNASIA LP were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
