An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Gutierrez in the 20th minute of play forced Chipisca's goalkeeper Leonides Servando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Chipisca defense, Melquiades Guzman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonides Servando. The Chipisca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Servando should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute, Silvestre Gutierrez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Servando was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 31st match minute, Chipisca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edur Corres to maneuver through the defense. Rogelio Bixintxo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Silvestre Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Servando having to interfere. Naldo de Godoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Santos Bibiano made a huge save. 40 minutes into the match, LANUS UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Edur Corres came free, but Santos Bibiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, Chipisca's Emerson Paulista made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santos Bibiano was left in no man's land by his defense there!

In the 59th minute Emerson Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Bibiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Guzman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Leonides Servando made a huge save. LANUS UNITED's Santos Bibiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Paulista in the 62nd minute of play. Marcial Salomone's late challenge caught a LANUS UNITED's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcial Salomone helped the player get up and apologised. Serban Albeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Bibiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Paulista in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Romulo Urtats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Servando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Gutierrez in the 75th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Chipisca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Salomone to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of LANUS UNITED booed when Chipisca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Koldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Rogelio Bixintxo from long distance, 81 minutes into the match, got Leonides Servando's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, Chipisca's Leonides Servando got control of the ball when Melquiades Guzman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonides Servando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Guzman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melquiades Guzman got free with Leonides Servando in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89thth minute of the game Melquiades Guzman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chipisca's Leonides Servando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute Silvestre Gutierrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Servando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
