Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Melquiades Guzman started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Funes in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Bibiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerardo Rameriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Gutierrez in the 6th minute of the match. Serban Albeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Rameriz having to interfere. When Juan Funes came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Funes couldn't finish the play. Gerardo Rameriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Guzman, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 33rd minute, Melquiades Guzman made a precise shot to the right of Gerardo Rameriz. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Guzman came free, but Gerardo Rameriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Juan Funes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Funes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Bibiano having to interfere. The Boca Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LANUS UNITED were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Funes was the one to do the kick off. Genaro Urtungo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Silvestre Gutierrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Rodolfo Licerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Gutierrez in the 67th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Gerardo Rameriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Juan Funes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of LANUS UNITED booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Licerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fidel Acevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Santos Bibiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Funes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadeo Jaen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Bibiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Gerardo Rameriz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serban Albeanu in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, LANUS UNITED's Silvestre Gutierrez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After 94 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Jaen. When the final whistle sounded LANUS UNITED left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Boca Juniors.
