RIVER PLATE's Juan Jaunti managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ubaldo Pepillo in the 42 minute of the game. If Kevin Backman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Roman Ikatz put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jacinto Tabb. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

In the 53rd minute, Roman Ikatz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto Tabb was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Jacinto Tabb was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kevin Backman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 57 minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Anjuli AFC's goalkeeper Jacinto Tabb had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Ikatz. Eustaquio Evis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Moise, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Fabio Lucado hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Jason Hutchins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to RIVER PLATE getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Clark Thomas hit a great ball. With his leg Jacinto Tabb managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when RIVER PLATE's Roman Ikatz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 72nd minute, Domingos Kaiet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the game, Anjuli AFC's Horacio Moise nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eustaquio Evis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente Naelio during the 80th minute. RIVER PLATE's Kevin Backman got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Clark Thomas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romulo Victoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Evis having to interfere.
