The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reynaldo Romildo struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Norberto Pirmin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tafí Futbol Club. In the 11th minute, Rosendo Fernanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute Eleuterio Ferran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Pirmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Savia defense, Eleuterio Ferran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norberto Pirmin. The Savia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norberto Pirmin should have stopped the shot. Norberto Pirmin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Marin, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Reynaldo Romildo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberto Pirmin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Savia booed when Tafí Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Balesio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciriaco Rafe during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Savia got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Rafe. In the 40th match minute, Savia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Bazil to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Eleuterio Ferran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tafí Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Eleuterio Ferran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Pirmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute Reynaldo Romildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Pirmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabricio Gonzo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaias Luix having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Eleuterio Ferran made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Savia's goalkeeper Norberto Pirmin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnulfo Mendiko. In the 56th minute, Eleuterio Ferran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tafí Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 59 minutes, Fabricio Gonzo made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Tafí Futbol Club's Isaias Luix tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Justino Cisco hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Norberto Pirmin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnulfo Mendiko's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Rafe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Isaias Luix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute, Fabricio Gonzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto Pirmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Romildo in the 81st minute of play. Savia's Norberto Pirmin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Savia from getting a goal against them. Ciriaco Rafe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Isaias Luix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Teodoro Ranolfo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Tafí Futbol Club's Reynaldo Romildo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Savia's Norberto Pirmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Milio in the 90th minute of play. Eriberto Marin charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Marin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Fabricio Gonzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
