After a rather tough play, Colón AFC's Ceferino Benino got a free kick in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Colón AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Austin came free, but Evelio Domiku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Domiku showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Orlando Txartiko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ildefonso Bide made a huge save. 45 minutes into the game, Marcelino Abancens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colón AFC the free kick. After 45 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Abancens. The Colón AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Racing Club were winning 0-1.

A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gervasio Sandalio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Lopes in the 65th minute of play forced Colón AFC's goalkeeper Evelio Domiku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Marcelino Francho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Bide skillfully saved the ball. Fernando Cambranes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute of the match Aurelio Diegotxe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Bide showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Damian Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Domiku having to interfere. Ildefonso Bide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Cuartio in the 85th minute of play. Ildefonso Bide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Cuartio in the 87th minute of the match. Efrain Bonadona hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Racing Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Colón AFC.
