Deportivo Charrúa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Nahia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godfredo Gilabert was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Norte's goalkeeper Godfredo Gilabert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Leopoldo Nahia took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Godfredo Gilabert to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Deportivo Norte's Godfredo Gilabert got control of the ball when Rene Lamberto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27thth minute of the game Leopoldo Nahia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Norte's Godfredo Gilabert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Rene Lamberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Charrúa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Lamberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcial Asur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Gilabert having to interfere. Diego Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Txerran having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teobaldo Ulizes during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Charrúa's Teobaldo Ulizes got a free kick in the 34th minute. Deportivo Charrúa's Marcial Asur got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Nahia in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Godfredo Gilabert, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Esteve Chucho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th play minute Rene Lamberto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Godfredo Gilabert. 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leopoldo Nahia to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Marcial Asur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Leopoldo Nahia put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Godfredo Gilabert. 57 minutes into the match, Deportivo Norte's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Asur came free, but Godfredo Gilabert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfredo Gilabert came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Charrúa's Marcial Asur. But to his dismay, Marcial Asur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 67 minutes into the match, Deportivo Charrúa's goalkeeper Aquilino Txerran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Eutropio. Diego Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Txerran having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 77 minutes, Deportivo Norte's Gogo Ponc got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aquilino Txerran. Godfredo Gilabert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Nahia in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Nahia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Godfredo Gilabert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Godfredo Gilabert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Nahia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Leopoldo Nahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Gilabert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Nahia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godfredo Gilabert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Diego Eutropio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aquilino Txerran. Deportivo Charrúa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Eutropio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. When the match clock showed 98 minutes, the score became 5-3 when Esteve Chucho sped through Deportivo Charrúa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aquilino Txerran.
