Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Deportivo Norte's Godfredo Asur started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Deportivo Norte booed when UT Baboil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Rios didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Asur in the 13th minute of play forced UT Baboil's goalkeeper Benito Odon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, UT Baboil's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Asur came free, but Benito Odon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfredo Gilabert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prospero Rios went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 20 minutes into the match, Deportivo Norte's goalkeeper Godfredo Gilabert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prospero Rios. Prospero Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Gilabert having to interfere. Godfredo Gilabert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Rios in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Gao Xing Jun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UT Baboil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gao Xing Jun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Deportivo Norte:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UT Baboil:s goal. The goalkeeper, Godfredo Gilabert, was totally fooled by UT Baboil's Ovidio Cuarto, who 33 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Deportivo Norte getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jonas Lapurdi hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Prospero Rios fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Norte's zone, Prospero Rios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godfredo Gilabert came out of the goal and Prospero Rios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prospero Rios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godfredo Gilabert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Rios to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Roberto Ferran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Odon. UT Baboil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Ferran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 56th match minute, UT Baboil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Cuarto to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Norte's Benito Odon threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Godfredo Asur, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Prospero Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Gilabert having to interfere. When UT Baboil's Prospero Rios in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Godfredo Gilabert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, UT Baboil's Prospero Rios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godfredo Gilabert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. UT Baboil's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
