Tobias Brais hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Matias Quintyns short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Danilo Bingen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Iratxo in the 11th minute of play forced Providencia FC's goalkeeper Peder Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Languiñeo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Flores to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Clodoveo Hondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Providencia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodoveo Hondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Bingen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peder Linquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Gervaso in the 20th minute of play. Danilo Bingen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Quintyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Bingen having to interfere. Peder Linquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Ovando in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Ismael Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peder Linquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Languiñeo FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Tobias Brais hit a great ball. Peder Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Ovando, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Ovando in the 44th minute of play forced Providencia FC's goalkeeper Peder Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Jorge Urtzi kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Languiñeo FC's Braulio Arlo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 51st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Providencia FC. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Ramon Ovando took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Peder Linquist to make any attempt to save it. 58 minutes into the match, Languiñeo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Eutropio came free, but Danilo Bingen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Gervaso got free with Peder Linquist in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Quintyn in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Bingen saved Languiñeo FC from getting behind. The supporters of Providencia FC booed when Languiñeo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Pepillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bruno Gabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Languiñeo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Quintyn came free, but Danilo Bingen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Bingen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Johans in the 77th minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the match Justino Intxixu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Bingen skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Providencia FC defense, Cesar Iratxo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peder Linquist. The Providencia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peder Linquist should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the match, Providencia FC's goalkeeper Peder Linquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ismael Gervaso. Languiñeo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
